We use a great product for writing our blog called MyBlog by azrul.com. We use it with a sister product called JomComment to allow people to comment on our posts and also comment on any other page on our website where we want to encourage comments. If you want to know more about blogging or need help setting up a website with a blog please contact us.

In this short article we'd like to demonstrate how to add a video to your MyBlog post. It is quite simple using the included video bot provided with MyBlog.

There are at least 8 different video sources that can be used including YouTube. Simply use the following code within your blog post where ever you'd like to add your video. In this example we are using a video about a funny puppy barking at himself in the mirror.

Find a link on your video source such as the one below from YouTube.com

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMt0nQ4mVCI

Then place it with brackets [] and precede the link with video: so it looks like the following (note replace video with the sourceie instead of video: it would read youtube: I'm leaving video:  below so you can see the syntax.

You need to a flashplayer enabled browser to view this video

You can also adjust the width and height by adding a something like 200x300 which would look like this

You need to a flashplayer enabled browser to view this video

Here is the inserted video
[youtube:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMt0nQ4mVCI 200x300]

You can add interest to your posts in just a few simple steps and as we all know blogging is great for Search Engine Optimization.

Until Next Time
